I was so excited to get it, and it helps with bread for sure but not so much with desserts.<br />Now I'll have to go request the Farmstead Egg Cookbook from my library :-D. Chocolate angel food cake sounds very promising. But my choco-mallow bars last night were pretty disgusting. They tasted like moon pie cake. Agh! If I send them out to the farm, they'll probably be snarfed up even though they're sub-par, but I'm not even tempted by them (which is a good thing, I think).Farmer's City Wifehttp://www.citywifecountrylife.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4939462579252426448.post-65201983007318999812011-02-26T07:15:23.727-08:002011-02-26T07:15:23.727-08:00Do you have a kitchen scale? And once those hens are laying like mad, you can make angel food cake from fresh eggs which is delightful and fat-free. I made another chocolate one last night with a touch of cinnamon. It's fantastic. I don't think you have anything to be worried about as far as the baking department goes. This looks pretty darn perfect, and my feeling is that even if desserts don't look pretty/appealing/photo-worthy, so long as there's plenty of chocolate involved, I'm sure it's edible and will disappear in a few days (at most). This is GORGEOUS and I want to lick my screen right now. :)Jennhttp://lifewiththelieutenant.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.com
