4 Pretty, Holy, Catholic Pinterest Boards

It's hardly a secret that I love Pinterest. There are so many beautiful ideas, fun crafts, delicious recipes, and inspirational images.

When I scan the feed, though, I always pause an extra-long time over the religious images. They always catch me off guard because there are so few holy pins, but it's like seeing portraits of old friends and it never fails to make me smile.

And, not gonna lie, if I'm starting to slip into covetousness of beautiful houses or dream gardens, the images of the Blessed Mother gently call me back! It's a wonderful little pictorial evangelization.

If you need some Catholic boards to follow, I'm rather fond of:

Betty Coe's "Catholic" Board

Sherry Gardiner's "Catholic" Board

Kathleen Doherty's "Catholic" Board

Amy Caroline's "Believe It" Board

and I suppose I could do a little shameless self-promotion and direct you to my own

City Wife, Country Life's "Sanctus" Board

Please please please let me know which Catholic boards you follow so I can have some more sanctified Pinterest viewing!

This Week on Pinterest

There are several projects I want to work on this weekend, and all of them were spied this week on Pinterest:

{Pin} DIY Seed starting shelves with shop lights. I'm DETERMINED to grow viable seedlings this year!

{Pin} Meyer lemon pudding. I have a bag of Meyers I've been hoarding while I decide on the perfect recipe. I think this might be it.

{Pin} Glazed crispy skinned roasted duck. We got a duck for Christmas! I think this sounds lovely for this Sunday's dinner.

{Pin} A ceramic "watermelon bowl." I think I could recreate something similar... maybe... or not.

Follow me on Pinterest if you'd like! What wonderful discoveries have you made on Pinterest this week?

This Week on Pinterest

As always, there were a ton of cute and good ideas on Pinterest this week. Here were some of my favorites:

{Pin from Number-2-Pencil}

This recipe for chocolate chip cookies is ingenious because it makes only two cookies. No leftovers to tempt you beyond your steely resolve!

{Pin from somewhatsimple.com}

Here's a simple idea for hanging pictures. Put some toothpaste where the nail holes go, push the frame against the wall and nail there -- no more guessing or measuring.

{Pin from everythingetsy.com}

This is a tasteful compilation of 25 Ikea Hacks (cheap Ikea furniture redone to look high end). Some of the results here are beautiful!

{Pin}

Caramel "Apple" Grapes. These would be adorable for a party appetizer. I think they might be even better if rolled in toffee bits.

This Week on Pinterest II

My love of Pinterest continues. Here are a few good ideas found this week:

{Pin} How to paint letters perfectly on wood.

{Pin} How to make scrapbook tiles (using a spray sealer, perhaps to be used as a tile backsplash?).

{Pin} Crock Pot dinners. Buy and chop all ingredients in one day, freeze meals separately, to be tossed into a crock pot for easy dinners throughout the month. A few recipes included (but could be adapted to just about any crock pot recipe).

 {Pin} Turn mason jars into easy-pour containers.

{Pin} Make your windows look bigger and allow in more light, simply by how you hang the curtain.

If you'd like an invitation, just let me know. If you're already on Pinterest, let me know so I can follow you!

This Week in Pinterest

Well, Google Reader has eliminated the ability to share links (unless you do it through Google+) so that nice little sidebar on the left entitled "Recently Pondered" is now defunct. I may keep it up by manually add links to it, but the one-click ease factor is gone.

Thankfully, there is Pinterest to fill the void. This week, I shared the following ideas on Pinterest:

From Flickr. Did you know that the little green shaker top on a Parmesan container fits onto a regular mouth Mason jar? Turn a glass jar into a shaker.

From Briangreen.net. You can make individual packets of creams, ointments, lotions or hand sanitizer using drinking straws and a lighter.

From Justsomethingimade. Label your chargers and never wonder again, "is this my camcorder charger or my old broken phone charger?"

From makeit-loveit.com. Etch your Pyrex dishes cheaply, easily, and permanently. No more wondering whose is whose at the potluck. It could make a lovely wedding gift with a few kitchen towels, too. The design possibilities for etching are endless.

Aren't these simple but lovely ideas? Are you on Pinterest? I can send you an invitation if you'd like.
