Excitement

A couple of weeks ago, I indicated on this post that I'd really like a pizza stone (for bread baking).

Well... thanks Mom!!

Crusty fresh bread, here we come.

I love my pizza stone. I actually have two, and they are the best. Just make sure you preheat the oven for a long time, so that the heat really has time to penetrate the stone.

Baking stones are great! They can be used for cookies, too.

Just make sure to never use soap on them.

Nadja, how long is "a long time"? Like 30 minutes, an hour?

Emily, can you put the cookies right on the stone or do you have to put 'em on a baking sheet first?
