Well, back in December, you may remember, we were burglarized (in our bedroom, while we were home and asleep).
My husband was subpoenaed recently and he went to court yesterday to testify.
The jury found the man (19 year old kid) guilty.
Apparently it was a little worse than we thought. The guy was not only drunk but drugged, had a history of gang activity, and had a prior burglary conviction. On the night of our own run-in, he had tried to grab the officer's gun. The tasered him, set the police dog on him, and still had difficulty bringing him down. Kind of like Rasputin.
He hasn't been sentenced, but the prosecutor thinks he'll get at least a few years in prison.
I'm kind of glad I didn't go to the trial.
